Gambling company Flutter announced it had received one of the biggest recognitions from the charity organisation GamCare. Three of Flutter’s brands were awarded certifications for ensuring safer gambling for their customers in the UK and Ireland.
On Thursday, the gambling company revealed that its brands Betfair, Paddy Power, and Sky Betting & Gaming have received the Advanced Safer Gambling Standard by GamCare. This achievement further cements the great reputation of Flutter, which has already earned itself a name in the iGaming industry for ensuring safe gambling for players and bettors.
Flutter Positive About Tombola Receiving the Same Safe Gambling Recognition
All three Flutter brands were granted Gold Advanced Level 3, which is the best possible certification operators can receive from GamCare. The company received the highest level of recognition after its brands have gone through an evaluation. As each of the gaming and betting brands has received the GamCare certification for safer gambling, we can confidently say that they make sure to practise and offer safer gambling for their customers.
Flutter is confident that its biggest online bingo product, tombola, will also receive the highest level of recognition by GamCare. The company announced that tombola’s assessment by the leading safer gambling advocate in the UK is soon to be completed.
Luke Sugden, director of risk and safer gambling for Flutter UK and Ireland, reported that the gambling company is extremely proud of this achievement. He added that safer gambling is a part of the company’s global sustainability strategy, with Play Well and the Positive Impact Plan also being included in this strategy, ensuring a safer gambling experience for Flutter customers.
Sugden did not miss the opportunity to also thank his colleagues, who had been dedicating their work to achieving safer gambling in everything they do.
Additional Safer Gambling Tools Prove Flutter’s Dedication and Care for Customers
One of the reasons why Flutter’s brands have received the highest possible GamCare certification was the implementation of additional safer gambling measures. To add extra protection for its younger customers, Flutter’s gambling brands implemented mandatory deposit limits for people who are 25 years of age or younger.
Another additional measure introduced by Flutter was the £10 limit on slots as well as the Affordability Triple Step, which raised the protection levels even higher. The three stages of affordability checks at Flutter brands start with the registration of new customers, who are required to set spending limits, continue with real-time monitoring of brands’ members, and add a third stage of protection if the previous two could not detect and prevent gambling harm for vulnerable individuals.
Flutter has implemented safer gambling KPIs, which help the company to monitor its responsible gambling progress. The gambling company also introduced remuneration for safer gambling objectives and worked on improving its assurance and compliance practices. To ensure that it will continue its progress towards safer gambling, Flutter has significantly increased its team, with more than 200 people currently working on the company’s safer gambling practices.
